A rare set of eight stunning antique hand painted French Limoges porcelain plates adorned with various types of fish- all amongst a charming, colorful scenery! The whole set is beautifully hand painted, with light gilt accents and bold, bright colors! A mint green border decorated with a raised scalloped motif surrounds the plates trimmed in a pattern of gold seashells. Marked at the back with the Lewis Straus & Sons LS&S blue Limoges mark used ca. 1890's to the mid-1920's. The set is in very good condition-one plate has two flat chips located at the back edge, this cannot be seen from the front.

Plates measure 9 1/4" in diameter.
