Quite a charming antique Napoleon III era French gilt ormolu trinket box mounted with five champleve enamel plaques. An array of bright colors embellish the Chinoiserie motif adorning the plaques and the box stands on four ornate feet. The lid opens to reveal a tufted silk lined interior. Overall in very good condition with no damage to the enamel. Some staining to the interior lining and a couple of shallow indentions can be seen on the interior rim.
