1971 Vintage Alfred Dunhill Silverplate Rollagas Lighter in Box

This superb vintage lighter comes in its original box and it even includes the original little manual! The manual is very informative as it includes directions for use and information about patent numbers. This lighter was manufactured in Switzerland. The lighter has a hand-hammered appearance which secondarily lets you keep a firmer grip on it! Buy a piece of Dunhill history! Please click on photo to see enlargements. Also, note that I have left most of the tarnish intact. The manual says not to use polish on it - only to clean with a dry cloth. I will leave the final polishing up to you! Please note that I am not in any way an expert about lighters. As it appears that it was kept in its original box for so many years (tarnish stains on box lining), I assume it was never used. It is being sold "as is" and based on current prices of Dunhill rollagas lighters. I did contact a highly recommended eastcoast business that specializes in restoring/repairing Dunhill's and they said that the maximum overhaul (needing to replace anything that might be preventing it from working) would cost $90.00. The price here has been lowered to allow for the circumstance where you might have to pay a professional to overhaul it. If you don't need to incur that cost you are getting a SUPER bargain.
