What's really nice about this is what a perfect match this is! No marriage here! The very frilled bowl is reminiscent of fish fins. The silverplated base (no makers marks) feature 3 scaled dolphins and a heavily repoussed floral and shell bottom. Note that the turquoise colored horizontal striping on the bowl is actually applied 3-dimensional threading. The greenish hued glass nearest the threaded rim is a kind of hobnail pattern. It looks like vaseline glass but it is not. It shades down to a pale greyish frosted glass. Truly a superb work of art. There are several pictures. Click on the largest one to see them all.
