Enamel on Sterling German Bluebirds/Blue Birds Brooch/Pin

The only one of its kind I've seen. Very similar in manufacture to the Alice Caviness pieces of the 1940s which have been catalogued and are often found signed, this one is unsigned and just marked Germany sterling. Unique because it consists of 3 separate birds instead of a single featured creature, this one is simply charming! Many of my customers by several of these pins and wear them in a cluster. Here you have a "built-in" cluster! Condition is excellent (the photo appears to show missing marcasites, but they are all where they should be!). Faux ruby red eyes. Measures 2" x 1 1/4".
