I've been dealing in enamels on silver for many years and have been fortunate to handle several items by Marius Hammer. Very early jewelry items are very scarce and hard to find so I was thrilled to find this one! It is in excellent condition (some tarnish, but I do not like to polish these items as some buyers prefer the patina that only 100 years can bring about!). As you will see from the photos also, this necklace measures 17 1/2" and features white guilloche'd enamel work. The silver work is finely fretted and granulated which is another identifying characteristic of Hammer's workmanship. It is in excellent condition and looks beautiful on the neck. Very feminine.
