Wonderful Carved Ivory Kwan Yin (Qwan Yin) Carving Large

This 11" high carved ivory figure of the Goddess of Mercy/Compassion, Kwan Yin (various spellings are acceptable) is superbly executed. Her serene countenance and graceful pose - especially of her long slender hands, evokes a calm response. She will make a wonderful companion to your other cabinet trophies! Condition is excellent with no cracks. Natural graining of the material is most noticeable on the back side and along the draped areas. Please take a special look at the plumes on her headdress. One feather tip is rounded and the other straight which leads me to think that the tip of the (straightedged) feather has chipped. I see no other areas of loss or damage.
