Clearly signed "RRR" we have been unable to determine the artist/maker. It is in excellent condition. Styled in a Georg Jensen-like manner (pea in pod/blossom pattern) this ladle distinguishes itself in several ways. First - it is very good looking. Second - it is very sturdily made with a substantial amount of silver used - it weighs over 6 ounces. This boxed set of demitasse spoons features guilloche enamel work on the handles with a unique snowflake or star-like contrasting design. Each spoon measures 3 13/16". Two of the spoons are pink with white, 2 are cobalt with white, one is yellow with white and the 6th is white with blue. Excellent condition of the spoons. The presentation box is soiled and shows wear on the outside while the interior satin is fine. Hallmarked on the reverse, Frigast Sterling Denmark.

From the mid-1800's, these sterling teaspoons are hallmarked on the reverse H & S STERLING and S MYERS. The graceful and elegant form of the spoons has 2 particularly nice features - the warrior medallion on one end and the tapered tip to the bowl on the opposite end! The oval cartouche that encloses the warrior is also beaded. Truly a lovely work of art in sterling silver, ca. 1850-80.
