Glittery in any light, this handsome vintage art deco pin features marcasites and triangular green inserts of chrysophase on the inner corners. It is a complex geometric design featuring circles and squares. The elaborate initials are "R" "E" V". The pin measures 1 7/8" x 1 1/2". It is in excellent condition. This tropical scene complete with palm tree, water, and distant mountains is a charming part of vintage jewelry history. Made from real butterfly wings in Brazil, this particular one is marked on the back, A.W./RIO 920. Excellent condition. C-clasp pinback works well. Dark patina around front of rim appears black (you can polish it, but I don't recommend it). Tarnished on back. Glass seals in and magnifies the scene. It measures 1 3/4" x 1/2".
