Here is a vintage 1925 original "Shalimar" perfume by Jacques Guerlain. The fragrance was created when Orientalism was sweeping Europe. The essence was inspired by the love of an Indian Emperor for his magnificent wife, Mumtaz-Mahal, for whom the Taj Mahal was built. "Shalimar" is named after the Gardens of Shalimar, where their love grew. The bottle has it's original label on the front, original cord around its neck and still has about half it its perfume left. It has never been opened. The bottom of the bottle is etched "BOTTLE MADE IN FRANCE", "NET CONT. 1/3 FL.OZ." Measurements are 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inches.
