Here is a beautiful early 1900s black on black crepe brocade fabric evening purse. It is in mint condition. It is from Europe. The body of the bag has the prettiest fabric, it looks like Persian fur but it is crepe and it also looks like lace is on the crepe but it is part of the fabric. That is why I call it black on black crepe. The frame is a shiny gold with beautiful embossing on the front and the back. The clasp has pointy green jewels, I believe to be jade. The chain is gold and perfect. The inside is lined in black silk with a side pocket, there is no fraying or marks. This is a gorgeous opera bag from the early 1900s. Measurements are 8 inches wide and 5 inches tall and at the frame it is 4 1/2 inches wide. The chain has a 5 1/2 inch drop.
