I have had this in my collection for years. It is an antique 19th century Chinese Purse done by hand in the tiny "forbidden" stitch. This is called so because the person stitching the purse was said to go blind if they did it for too long or too much. Therefore, the Chinese Emperor outlawed it. Any chinese purse you see is always a joy because it is so colorful. All of the work is done in silk the stitching is excellent the purse is intact inside and out. It does have some soiling on the back and a bit on the top inside. Also there are two creases when I got it and I left it that way. It measures 7 inches wide and 5 inches tall.
