Here is a rare piece of mid 1800s art purse work. It is a tan leather coin purse with a brass handle closure with a large gold tassel. The front of the purse is hand painted and the paint is even raised on the body. It is very colorful and all there. The inside is a pretty bright blue satin with a secret pocket in the middle. It has its original leather case with satin lining. This purse measures 3 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall and 1 inch deep. With the handle it is 4 inches tall
