This garment is a "little chemise," worn underneath another garment to fill in the front and neckline. Chemisettes give the appearance of a blouse or shirt worn under the outer garment without adding bulk at the waist or upper arm. This one has an Ann Phillips label, and it is made to tie at the sides. It has a button and loop closure at back of neck. Feminine lace trim and tiny tucks embellish the center front. Front and back each have two small waist darts. The creamy fabric appears to be a vintage organdy-rayon blend. The lovely, faint moire weave of the fabric was beautifully picked up by the camera. This filmy mesh chemisette is very lightweight and in excellent condition. Across the front from side to side measures 21." The back from side to side measures 18." From mid shoulder seam down to front hem is 17." From mid shoulder seam down to back hem is 17.75."
