A fabulous vintage Greek Mythology depicting Pegasus Wittnauer lady’s Wrist Watch with the original black leather band. A beautiful gold metal round watch face measuring just shy of 1 inch in diameter, with a beautiful light gold face depicting north south east and west numeric numbering, alternating strike marks and high polished gold Pegasus. With the battery just replaced, this magnificent limited edition Wittnauer Wrist Watch keeps exceptional time. Wittnauer watches are known for their high quality and lifetime of service. Every Wittnauer watch is powered by super accurate Swiss-quarts movement and designed to last a lifetime. I have never seen any Wittnauer watch like this one or can I find one anywhere on the internet! The genuine leather band measures 8 ¼ inches long and ½ inch wide with a slight tapering. Best fit would be a wrist size from 5 ¾ inches long up to 7 ¾ inches long. The watch has been worn, leather band is in excellent condition and the watch itself is near pristine condition! A fabulous and unusual find!!

HISTORY: The Greek Mythology of the Pegasus Horse, known as the winged horse and good flyer. The Pegasus was the result of the ill fated mating of Medusa and Poseidon. It was born from Medusa when her head was cut off by Perseus. Tamed by Bellerophon it served as the mount during his adventures including his slaying of Chimaera. When Bellerophon attempted to fly Pegasus to Mount Olympus he was dismounted by Zeus. Pegasus continued on and made it to Mount Olympus. Here Pegasus spent his days carrying lighting bolts for Zeus.
