Produced between 1880 and the early 1900s this is a wonderful turn of the century, Victorian period Papier Mache box with a scene depicting a Colonial Courting Couple near a lake with trees in the background. Felt on the inside, bottom and sides which shows some age. There is some water damage to a small part of the scene on the lid; basically the picture is still in very good condition. A lovely embossed design completes the picture as well as the lid and corners of the box. Standing 2 ½” tall and measuring 5 7/8” wide by 9 ¼” long. Overall in good usable and decorative condition!
