Return Policy
Ruby Lane and each of its independent shops want you to be satisfied with your purchase. To ensure your satisfaction and for the protection of both the buyer and shop owner, we have a Return Policy that each Ruby Lane shop owner honors. View Return Policy now.

Shipping/Handling/Insurance Policy:
Please do not attempt to return an item due to shipping damage. Should it occur in spite of my careful packaging, this must be handled through the shipping agent with an insurance claim. I will be happy to assist in this. Always be sure to retain all original packaging if a claim is to be made as the shipping agent will request to examine it.
Purchase more than one item at one time and I will ship them together (if possible) to save you money on shipping.

All items are expertly packed and insured. Our shipments are packed to give the buyer absolutely NO worries about carrier theft or pilferage. Our return address gives the shop-owners name rather than the business name, and no insurance stamps or stickers give any clues as to the valuable contents. Buyer pays shipping, handling and insurance. We ship items daily (Monday-Friday) via USPS. We will schedule UPS, or FEDEX, DHL on request and ship once weekly via these carriers. Depending on the size, value, and fragility of your item, there may be a delay to allow adequate time for safely packing your items; we will always disclose delays if any. We are always happy to email an estimate of time and cost, if you will provide your zip code to us.

For some very fragile items we might suggest that a professional packing service be used. (pictures, clocks, crystal lamps) Shipping fees on these items can be higher but they might arrive safer! Items so shipped are taken to the shipping depot,"professionally wrapped, shipped and billed to the customer with their credit card.. Please give phone number so that the credit card may be charged

Shipment: Your item will be mailed after verified clearance of your Personal or Business check (please allow 15 banking days) and after actual funding of Pay Pal "E-Check" (please allow 5 banking days).

If you pay with money orders, credit cards, your item will be mailed on the next mailing day following receipt of funds in our accounts. Pay Pal and all credit card purchases will be shipped to verified/confirmed credit card billing addresses ONLY; please ensure that you give the correct shipping address on your Ruby Lane purchase order.

We take great care to securely package your purchase. All jewelry items are bubble wrapped. Shipping and insurance are added after purchase. We ship First Class U.S. Mail within the U.S. and Canada.

We ship items several times during the week. Please let us know if you have an urgent shipping time requirement. We will make every effort to ship your item to arrive in the time you specify. If we are not able to do so, we will notify you within 24 hours of receipt of the purchase order.
The cost of Shipping plus Insurance will be added to your purchase total. Insurance is mandatory and items will not be shipped without it. There is never a Handling Charge.

Please feel free to inquire as to the Shipping and Insurance costs for any item. Please include your Zip Code for domestic destinations or your Country and Postal Code for international destinations.

9.25% sales tax added for Tn. buyers unless exempt and the completed signed form is included with payment.

We prefer to use USPS whenever possible, and require all packages to be insured. If you prefer another method of shipment, please mention it. We charge only actual expense of shipment/insurance, except in the case of larger items which must have special wood crates built. Wood crate charge,or double cartons for extra large items such as furniture are shipped with special packing companies such as Craters and Freighters, and Pac Mail. These companies will contact you for payment by credit card. We have also shipped Greyhound Bus Lines to selected areas.
In all refund cases we do not refund shipping charges in either returns or damaged shipping.

Restocking Fee:
We charge a 15% restocking free on all items returned

Other Information:
Items shipped to Tennessee residents are charged the Tennessee Sales Tax of 9.25%
