This is an exquisite portrait of an 18th century woman on ivory. It is set in 18k gold filigree frame and decorated with 3 small diamonds (approximately .15 ct) and platinum highlights on the hairdress, necklace and earrings. The pin measures 1.75" by 1.25". This is a beautiful example of a Stanhope along with a ivory? / or bone roseary beads. The entire chain with the Stanhope measures 18" long. The beads are linked with a brass chain. Each bead is beautifully carved with little flowers. The Stanhope inside the cross is a picture of 4 different cathedrals and in the middle is a saints' robe.
