This is a substantial pitcher from a 19th century jug and basin set. The jug is 11 3/4" to the tip of the handle and over 11" at it's widest point. It is wonderfully decorated with deeply embossed swirls and lovely bouquets of blue flowers. The floral decoration is on all four sides with even a sprig on the inside of the pouring spout! The handle is also very detailed with ornate curves and blue decoration. The pitcher is in superb condition and despite the absence of any maker's mark on the base, there is no question of its Victorian origins.
