This beautiful trinket or jewelry box dates from the late nineteenth century. It has a porcelain base, wonderfully hand-painted with a floral motif and butterfly, and a beveled glass top. The casket is approximately 2 3/4" high and 3" across. It is in good condition overall although the glass top has visible scratches and most of the gilding has worn off the mounts. Still a very lovely piece to display on your dresser
