Sale!!! This wonderful storybook was first published in 1902 and is full of creative and humorous explanations of such monumental questions as ‘How The Camel Got His Hump’, ‘How The Leopard Got His Spots’, and ‘How The Alphabet Was Made’ beautifully illustrated in black and white by the author. This edition was printed in 1923 by MacMillan And Co. Limited, London. There is no dust jacket and the red cloth cover, with an illustration of the crocodile pulling the elephant’s trunk, is in very good condition with some edge/corner wear. There is a written inscription on the front page and light yellowing of the pages from age however the book is overall in very good condition. This imaginative children's book is 9 3/8" by 7" with 249 pages that are sure to delight!
