The pressed glass insert on this delightful handled candy / condiment dish is embossed with the British patent number 287653, which was registered to Percival, Vickers & Co on the 4th of November 1896. The Manchester firm was established in 1844 and closed in 1914.

The footed base on this terrific piece is stamped EPNS R.C. 539. It has wonderful details including the scalloped edge, ball feet, twisted handle, and openwork finial that complement the pressed glass bowl beautifully.

This attractive set is 5 1/2" high, with a base that is 5 3/4" by 4 1/2". There are only a few minor marks on the silver and production flaws in the glass and the set is in excellent condition.
