This is an incredible early plate with an amazing, wide, elaborate border, garlands and cameos of roses, and an center insert of a young boy sitting on the fence with his fishing pole, baited with frog, and poised for the big catch. Standing demurely beside him is a young girl in her Sunday best intently watching the frog or ducks. This unusual and exceptionally delightful plate has both impressed marks and the stamp for Wedgwood Etruria England on the reverse, dating the plate to the 1890-1910 period.

This exceptionally sentimental plate is approximately 10 1/4" in diameter. It is in excellent condition with only very minor signs of age/use that do not detract.
