This lovely cup and saucer was produced by Aynsley to commemorate the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Canada in 1959 for the opening of the St. Lawrence Seaway. It is a very pretty pink color with gold handle, foot, rim and E monogram with the royal crown on the exterior. The inside of the cup is white with a lovely image of the Queen and gold maple leafs. The cup is 2 1/2" to the tip of the handle and the saucer is 5 1/2" in diameter. There is a small 1/8" utensil mark on the saucer that is only noticeable on close inspection and does not detract. The set is otherwise in excellent condition.
