Copeland Late Spode Greek Vintage 9" Luncheon Plates

We have six of these wonderful luncheon plates in the red color tone of Spode’s Greek pattern. The pattern is fascinating with each piece in a place setting featuring a different classical scene in the center medallion and border panels. The pattern has been in production since the early years of the nineteenth century with many variations over the ensuing years. These have both incised and printed marks on the bottom, with the red printed mark reading “Copeland Late Spode England ‘Greek’ Rd. No. 639277", which dates the plates to post 1914 when the engravings were registered.

The detailed and very ornate pattern is the same on each plate. They have a diameter of 9" and are perfect for serving breakfast, lunch, snacks, and desserts.

It is very hard to find older pieces in this handsome pattern and a wonderful opportunity to acquire six luncheon plates in mint/near-mint condition with few signs of use or age. The price is for one plate with six available.
