This is a fabulous 19th century pickle castor with a brilliant blue insert in a beautifully detailed floral silver plated frame. The pressed glass insert is incredibly attractive in a three dimensional raised block and diamond pattern with some bubbles in the glass and a straw mark on the bottom. The frame is also exceptional with wonderful flower motifs and is marked “American Silverplate Triple 186". This extraordinary set measures 11" to the top of the finial, is complete with the tongs, and in excellent condition.
