1935 William Wild Etching / Engraving "Greetings from the Wild's Of East Aurora"

This wonderful American etching was likely sent as a holiday greeting to friends of the artist from his family home in East Aurora. The bottom of the print has the double entendre "Greetings from the Wild's of East Aurora". It is signed W. Wild in pencil at the bottom right with the monogram W 35 at the bottom left of the print. The engraving evokes a feeling of serenity and peace with the large pine in the foreground and the cluster of buildings tucked away in the hills. The backing has the sticker of the framer which reads "The Genesee Picture Frame Co. 152 E. Genesee St. Buffalo N.Y." The frame dimensions are 9” wide by 11” high, and the inner window is 3 3/4" wide by 4 3/4" high. Both the frame and print are in excellent condition.
