This attractive 19th century sentimental/mourning brooch is 1 1/2" in diameter with a twisted rope edge, C-clasp and extended pin. Under the glass, it holds the original photograph of a handsome young man with handlebar mustache, which could easily be replaced if desired. The pin is gold plated/ gold filled and is in very good condition with minor wear to the gilding that is only noticeable on very close examination and does not detract.
