This is a lovely oil painting on board of a winter scene with birch and fir trees, stream, and mountains. The color tones are beautiful and realistically convey the peaceful silence of winter at dusk.

The painting is signed C. Butler at the bottom right. We don’t know the artist however a framing sticker and notation on the back indicates the painting was framed in Holland Landing, Ontario, October 1992.

This wonderful oil painting measures approximately 17 3/4" by 23 ½", or 17 3/4" by 29 ½" with the wood frame. It is in excellent condition.
