This very attractive centerpiece is stamped with 800, the Continental silver standard, on the side. It has a wonderful scalloped beaded edge and fabulous cut-out border. The bowl stands 5 1/2" high and measures 8 7/8" across. It is in excellent condition with only very minor light polishing marks that are only noticeable on close inspection and do not detract.
This magnificent set has the crescent moon and crown hallmarks, the national marks of Germany that were introduced in 1886 and made mandatory in 1888. It consists of a fabulous blown glass decanter wonderfully etched with flowers and scrolls, in an ornate 800 silver base, and with a very detailed silver neck, and twelve matching cordials in handled silver settings.
