This is a great early tinware with a sun and moon decoration with stars on the side. There is a wheat design going around the sun and moon. It says MACARONI on the top. There is crazing all over. The tin has a gold rim going around the bottom and around the lid rim. The lid handle does not look original to the ti but does look good as it is a nice old piece of wood. There is an uneven ridge going around the lid. The ridge looks like a circle but I am not sure it that area was repainted or what. Very nice piece of tinware. There is a little rust discoloration on the inside of tin and some on the bottom outside of tin. The tin measures from bottom to top of handle 8 inches high and is 6 1/4 inches in diameter.I got this along time ago because I love anything with a celestrial design. It is really a nice piece to add to a tinware collection.
