Here is your chance to own a beautiful Navajo woven Two Grey Hills Rug. Done in the classic style and colors of Two Grey Hills weavings, this Navajo rug is in the open diamond pattern with kiva step patterns in the four corners. It is bordered in solid black with a white accent line running inside the border. The wool is all natural colors with no dyes used anywhere. The weave is tight, even, and supple. It measures 21 inches by 25 inches. All four corners are completely intact and the black tassels at each corner are all present. We purchased this rug when new in 1975. Since then it has been in storage or hanging on the wall. Consequently, it has been treated with respect. There are several small spots of damage where moths did their thing. These spots are very limited and very subtle. The only way to see them is to look very closely for them. There are several lazy lines at places throughout the piece, a desirable indicator of the handmade nature of the piece. All the colors are consistent and strong with no signs of fading or wear. Two Grey Hills rugs are often considered to be the Cadillac of Navajo rugs. Rugs of this size and design can often command a substantial price. We have priced it well below the going rate. This rug would be a nice wall-hanging or a great accent piece casually thrown over a chair or sofa.
