Specializing in the Finest Antique Smalls, Artisan Jewelry and Artisan Wood Items!
This listing is for one of Maugham’s more difficult books to obtain, the first American edition of East of Suez, published by George H. Doran in 1922, NY. Condition is near fine with a beautiful dust jacket that is almost never present. The dust jacket has some minor chipping along the top edge. Overall, a bright tight copy of a lesser known work by this controversial author. Basil Rathbone starred in the original theatrical production of this play and it served as the basis of a Raoul Walsh film that featured Edmud Lowe, Rockliffe Fellowes and Noah Beery. This item is tough to find and competitively priced.
