The set consists of 8 pieces including 3 dishes, 3 spoons, a lid that covers all 3 dishes, and a plate to set the jelly pots on. The dishes are decorated with a hand-painted strawberry and vines design. The condition of the set is excellent, looking just like it did on the day the set was made. There are no chips or cracks. The surface glaze is crazed like most glazes become over time, but the impact is subtle. On the underside there is even the original sticker that say Fred Roberts Company San Francisco Made in Japan. The largest piece, the bottom dish, is 7 1/4 inches across. The individual jelly dishes are each 4 5/8 inches wide at their widest point. We have seen a number of other Fred Roberts pieces on the internet that have this strawberry design, but they are usually missing parts or chipped. We have also never seen this particular set. It is ready to use if you wish, or would be a nice addition to your collection.
