The chorus of a well-known song entitled 'Der Weaner geht nit unter'. 4. 'I bitt her Hauptmann, i bitt' ganz schön'. This is a dance song from the province of Niederösterreich (Lower Austria) the province around Vienna. 5. 'Weil I a alter Drahrer bin'. A song composed by Johann Sioly, who composed the music for dozens of well-known Wienerlieder. He died in 1911.
The vignettes might all be hand painted, although it is difficult to tell for sure. Each of the vignettes is separated by a wood-burned, or pyrographic, design. There is some age darkening overall on the piece and some crazing on the vignettes. This crazing is what makes it difficult to decide if the design is hand painted. There is also a chip of wood missing from the outside rim. (Check the photos to see the chip.) The only indication of age is the date “1947" that appears as part of one of the vignettes. While it clearly had an original use as a serving platter of some sort, it would now be terrific hanging as a piece of decorative art on the wall.
