Sweetpea Cottage is offering you the opportunity to obtain this delightfully illustrated children’s book from 1936, titled “Eight Little Indians” by Josephine Lovell. The book is in excellent condition, the binding is tight, the copy is clean and the dust jacket is in very good condition with only some minor tears and a ½ inch hole on the back part of the spine. There are 98 pages printed on heavy card stock with many illustrations, 31 in color done by Roger Vernam. The illustrations are beautifully executed and quite colorful. The book consists of stories of Native American children from all over the U.S., including Moki, Navajo, Eskimo, Sioux, Iroquois, Killamook, Seminole. Each story describes growing up in an Indian culture. The stories are well done and sensitive to the cultures being described. It is unusual to find a copy of this book in such good condition and they seldom have the dust jacket intact. Children’s books are normally used hard and show the signs of a hard life. That is not the case with this item. It might have been used by a child, but it was lovingly cared for.

You can buy with confidence from Sweetpea Cottage. We stand behind everything that we sell. If you wish to return your purchase for any reason, simply notify us by email of your intentions within 3 days of receiving the item. We then ask that you return it to us in its original condition in a timely fashion. At that time we will refund the full purchase price minus any shipping charges. Shipping for this book is $7.00 anywhere in the U.S..
