This seems to be a very scarce item as we have been unable to locate a similar item anywhere on the internet. It is very well made. The clock stands a total of 9 3/4 inches tall and is 4 inches wide at the widest point. We do not know the origin of this item as there are no markings on it anywhere. However, judging by the weight and quality of the piece, it is very possibly made in Germany. This is also consistent with the look of the clock which has a Black Forest cuckoo clock feel to it. We have examined it carefully and feel that it is cast bronze and definitely not the cheaper metal, spelter. The clock works beautifully and keeps good time. The uniqueness of the piece is set off by the small animated bird that sits in the opening at the time of the birdhouse. As the clock runs the bird wiggles back and forth. This clock is sure to make you smile.
