Sweetpea Cottage is offering you a gorgeous hand painted pitcher. This gem was made by Falcon Ware pottery studios, probably around 1925-1930. Its graceful shape and delightful design make it a pleasure to behold. It stands about 8 ½ inches tall, is about 3 3/4 around at the base, and 5 3/4 around at the top. It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or dings. There is the usual crazing to the glaze, and some staining inside from use. Other than that, it is pristine. The colors are vibrant and the design is tastefully done. On the underside it is labeled as “Hand Painted”, “Made in England”, “Falcon Ware”, and “The Dell”. The Dell is most likely referring to the name of the pattern. On the side of the pitcher there is the signature “J Reynold”. You will find some Falcon Ware offered for sale on the Internet, but it is highly unlikely that you will find a piece like this due to its rarity. Also, most Falcon Ware items were production pieces; this pitcher was not a production piece. While you could use it if you wish to serve your favorite beverage, it would also make an outstanding display piece that is sure to draw many compliments.
