Heavy bronze tone metal with navy blue, pearl gray and creamy white enamel. The solid blue enamel background has the name Mercedes on top, Benz at the bottom and leaves from a laurel wreath on each side. The center design of the famous 3 pointed Mercedes-Benz star points towards Land, Sea and Air, The star is slightly raised and in a creamy white color on the pearl gray field. At the bottom of the star the name Benz is surrounded by a laurel wreath in the center of the year 1936.

The back is a textured bronze tone metal with only A-51. The hook extends approximately 3/8" and the metal loop measures 1-1/4" long with a 5/8" opening. This listing is for the belt buckle only, It should be easy to find a wide men's leather belt that fits inside the loop opening with a snap fold-over closure.

Please look at the photo of a 1929 vintage Mercedes-Benz with this identical enamel emblem design. The Mercedes-Benz automobile was named after the daughter of Emil Jellinek, who financed the vehicles manufactured by Karl Benz. You can see her portrait circa 1901.

This would make a perfect gift for a Mercedes-Benz owner or a collector of automobile memorabilia.

The enamel is in very good condition considering this buckle dates to the 1970's showing only small pin dots of wear on the raised white star.
