6 Saucers - 6 1/4" across
Beautiful panels of assorted images and flowers, and extensive gold trim, designs and handles. This set has been very well cared for.
There are 2 hallmarks on most pieces one of which is: VICTORIA AUSTRIA - that mark of Schmidt & Co. ca. 1904 to 1918. The other mark from my research is that of the double blue lines that are crossed; according to Kovels' New Dictionary of Marks by Ralph & Terry Kovel (page 130), this mark belonged to C.G. Schierholz & Sons, Germany from ca. 1880 to ca. 1906, however this double crossed hallmark on these pieces are above the glaze. I can feel the lines with my fingertips.
Also, some of the pieces have been overstamped with a gold rose emblem, and is covering the VICTORIA AUSTRIA hallmark from Schmidt & Co. I am not sure why this was done, perhaps in the changing of factory names during this time.
No Chips, No Cracks, No Crazing, No Repairs.
This is an amazing tea/coffee service.
