It has yards and yards of semi sheer mid-night blue organza (poly?) which is literally covered in mini sparkles of every color, silver, pink, blue, green and mauve. The bodice has a shelf bust frill of 8", is boned and there is a cummerbund of gathered fabric from under the bust down to the natural waist line.

The luscious skirt has a full 170" sweep spilling out from the fabric gathered at the waist. The 2nd layer is a purple/plum acetate also yards around, the 3rd layer is a full black netting. It also has a 8" frill.

Label reads Mike Benet Formals Size 12 (vintage) Made in U.S.A.

Measurements 14" working zipper down back with hook and eye at the top. Bodice length taken from underarm to waist 10 1/2" Bust 33" Waist 26" Hips Full Overall Length 43" (taken down back).

Condition is very good vintage. The plum colored acetate lining appears to have lightened or faded here and there, however this always seems to be the case with this particular lining. It is the norm. The other issue is a long, about 3 1/2", dark mark near the bottom of the skirt. It is not immediately apparent and I have not tried to remove it. It is difficult to find amongst the froth of this fabric. I've placed a white paper underneath to take a picture.

Sizing: Please note: When I measure any clothing items, they are laid flat, so the measurements are of the garment, not a person. In order to be fairly certain that the item of your choice will fit you comfortably, I suggest that you do the same. Choose a similar item that you have in your closet and make it one that you feel very comfortable wearing. Lay it on a flat surface, take the measurements then compare them with the sizing in the description of the item you are interested in purchasing.
