Vintage 1940's-50's Stunning Pink Satin Picture Hat-New Look!

I admire this hat it's a favourite, with the definite "new look" of the late 40's and first few years of the 1950's. Envision it with a super gorgeous "Dior" look full skirted cocktail dress or an equally elegant pencil skirt and matching jacket.

It has a fairly narrow stiff crown that drops down to a molded wire where it meets a curving 3 1/2" wire molded brim. The pink satin is fused to the narrow crown but the fabric of the brim is softly gathered as it circles the crown. The pink fabric is then entirely covered in a black illusion lace in a floral design and there are what appear to be tiny glass beads scattered here and there.

The curved brim measures 33" around, 10 1/2" across, the interior of the crown is about 20" around and 6" across. The hat is about 4" high in total.

The stiff interior is pink and is molded. There are 2 wire formed v clips to hold the hat onto the head. There are 2 marks on the interior of the hat and the 2 clips show normal wear but other than that, the condition is great. It's ready to wear.
