The fabric is a polyester crepe and the label reads "Christy's Midland".
In the late 60's this huge style of pants were referred to as "elephant pants" and this term would definitely hold true for this jumpsuit. They are a whopping 56" in diameter each, which gives lots of comfort and the particular way in which the two legs meet creates a fold over that gives the overall appearance of a full skirt rather than pant legs.
Other great features are-
<3 brass buttons at the top front with a dome fastener
< 10" zipper from the empire waist down
Condition is near vintage is very good with only small flaws. The belt has a couple of very faint marks, a former owner's name is marked on the inside label, goes without saying that this does not show when garment is worn and the brass colored buttons show some wear to the finish. Mailing cost-flat rate fee of $15.00 for Canada & continental U.S.A. Please note:
Sizing:
When I measure any clothing items, they are laid flat, so the measurements are of the garment, not a person. In order to be fairly certain that the item of your choice will fit you comfortably, I suggest that you do the same.
Choose a similar item that you have in your closet and make it one that you feel very comfortable wearing. Lay it on a flat surface, take the measurements then compare them with the sizing in the description of the item you are interested in purchasing. Vintage fashions:
Unless otherwise stated, all the items of clothing and accessories that are offered for sale are vintage, ranging from the forties through the eighties. Therefore they have had a great former life and unless noted, all are gently worn. I try my best to buy quality and to note flaws however these items are not new and I do not represent them as “new”. They will not look like you just bought them at your local mall. So if a slight mark here, a loose button or a pulled stitch there, bothers you please don’t buy. I want my customers to be very pleased with their purchase. If you’re happy we’re all happy. Also please take note that I have absolutely no control over the mail service. Once it’s delivered to them it’s their responsibility. I will always try to mail the cheapest method but, with that, there is no insurance or tracking number. If you require those services, know that the postage will be quite a bit higher.
