The luscious yellow contrasts beautifully with the navy patent original belt and skirt. Even the top of the bodice and armhole lining is a great contrast in navy with white polka dots.

The long dropped waist bodice is very slimming especially so with the curvaceous darts that travel from the armhole, over the bust and right on down to where the top meets the skirt portion. These darts along with the button front, neckline and bottom edge of the yellow, are all outlined in navy thread. There are 2 long slimming darts on the back from below shoulder on down.

There are 5 buttons and button holes down the front. The buttons themselves appears to be sort of a brown with a purple tinge and I'd be willing to guess that they have faded over time. Perhaps they also were navy, but change in color or not, they look great.

The navy skirt has large box pleats that make lots of room to move. The hem is unfinished so that you can be modest and leave it where it is or raise it to a higher level and be daring, your choice. The fabric tag reads 100% polyester however it feels and looks like what used to be called Butcher linen. There is no maker's label. The dress is unlined and retains it's narrow navy blue "patent" leather belt.

Measurements: Bust 31"-32" Shoulders 4" Waist 28" Hips 32" Bodice length 23" Skirt length 16" (to bottom of unfinished hem)

Condition I'd like to say fabulous but unfortunately the very top of both shoulders has faded. I suppose the dress hung on a hanger and sun must have reached it. Too bad as there are no stains, spills, tears or other unsightly stuff. It might not even have been worn.

Therefore they have had a great former life and unless noted, all are gently worn. I try my best to buy quality and to note flaws however these items are not new and I do not represent them as “new”. They will not look like you just bought them at your local mall. So if a slight mark here, a loose button or a pulled stitch there, bothers you please don’t buy. I will always try to mail the cheapest method but, with that, there is no insurance or tracking number. If you require those services, know that the postage will be quite a bit higher.
