This is a lovely late 40's early 50's day dress with it's cool, fresh fabric with horizontal variegated stripes of blue and black on white. You'll need a slip under this as the fabric is quite sheer. The striped material (last pic is the most accurate color) is used to good advantage as it forms the bias binding on the short sleeves and all the way down the front which is fully buttoned-19 blue buttons in all, with a dome fastener at the waist.
