19th Century Quilt Top - Signed 12 times by Makers - Gettysburg, PA Area

19th Century Quilt Top in beautiful calicos and muslin. This quilt is signed in 12 different areas by the makers. A wonderful piece of history. The only signature with a date is in pencil and has faded, but reveals a date of June 30, 1861. My romantic belief is that it was never finished due to the Civil War, etc. I purchased this quilt top many years ago in Gettysburg, and was told it was a local piece.

Condition: Very little fading and a few brown areas, but overall quite crisp. I discovered one little hole in the area with the pencil signature and date. The hand stitching is wonderful. 41-1/2" x 74".
