19th Century Cherry 4-Poster Canopy Rope Bed - Original Finish and Condition

A wonderful period bed for your home. Original finish and condition - cherry rope bed with four beautifully turned posts that disassemble very easily. The curved canopy puts it a bit over 8 feet in height. I've had other straight canopy rails made to accommodate an 8' ceiling.

It is fitted with a custom made 3/4" size mattress that fits into brackets on the high side rails. The original wooden pegs are in great shape, and it could be made into rope bed if preferred.

This bed came from a Franklin County, Pa. home and was in the family since the 1800's. I've included some additional photos of the bed in my present home; it cannot be set up completely, as my room is much smaller.

Pick Up would be preferred; however, if the buyer lives within a 100 mile radius of my shop, I will consider delivering it to you.
