Hello, and thank you for visiting my on-line shop! While I wish I could tell you that I've earned a degree in art or jewelry design, I cannot, but instead I pursued a career in computer sciences and information technology many years ago. Since this type of career doesn't give you much of an avenue to express yourself (like in the negative!), I totally felt like I needed to find a means of self-expression....but how?

Well, after having and raising three wonderful boys, attending many soccer games and rock concerts, and helping to create about a zillion science and class projects with them, one day fate decreed that I would be introduced to jewelry making. A good friend of mine gave me a gorgeous beaded bracelet as a gift which left me awestruck! I knew in my heart that I had to do this, and that's how and when this wonderful adventure began! Since that time, I have taken several jewelry technique classes, and studied design and color on my own. Through trial and error I have managed to create jewelry that has given me an outlet for self-expression and self-satisfaction.

I can honestly say that I design jewelry that I love, and it is my hope that others will love it just as much. Each piece starts with an idea or inspiration, and from there the hunt for the perfect beads, gemstones, and metals begins. Each bead is hand picked by me to ensure a quality piece of jewelry, because the saying is true, "no two beads are drilled alike". If asked, I would have to say that coin pearls are my very favorite material to buy and use in my designs. Sterling silver is my metal of choice, but I also use 14K gold fill as well as vermeil (18K gold over sterling silver). I go one step further and try to add the perfect clasp or toggle that will make this a truly unique piece of jewelry that sets it apart from others. Most of my jewelry can be re-sized or modified, so please don't be afraid to ask! Also, all of my return customers get 10% off ~ all the time!

As you can probably tell by looking around my shop, I have a special place in my heart for the Chesapeake Bay. Since living around the Chesapeake Bay for many, many years, I have been filled with such an appreciation for the bay’s habitat areas and the many wonderful creatures that live in and around the bay. Did you know that a number of people depend on the bay for their livelihood? God bless our watermen! Unfortunately our beautiful bay has been all but destroyed by mankind. The fertilizer we use on our lawns, the manure produced on our farms, and the sewage from our big cities have all contributed to the dead-zones that the bay now holds. The oyster and blue crab population is dwindling, and the fish are dying in droves. We have got to get a hold of ourselves and SAVE OUR BAY! My intent is to try to bring awareness to the condition of our bay by creating my line of Chesapeake Bay jewelry. Please do your part not only to help the bay, but also to help our earth. Please recycle, conserve energy and “go green” whenever you can. It’s not hard, and it will make a world of difference! Thank you!

Most weeks on Friday evenings, I list an item of my choice at 1/2 price ~ it's a great deal and a great way to start the weekend!
