1920’s Fine Petit Point Purse with Figural Lake Scene

Beautiful little purse, 6 ¼” x 6” with the tiniest of hand done stitches. Both sides of the purse have a scene of a boat on a lake, several figures and a castle at the water’s edge. The scene is framed by flowers and fruit. Both sides of the purse have the same scene. Viewed under magnification, the workmanship is amazing, with perfectly done stitches and expert detail.

The interior is tan satin with one side pocket. I find no stains or tears.

The brass frame has an incised design and small dangling charm set with marcasites at the clasp. Part of the frame is set with beveled glass stones – one is missing, and this is the only defect in an otherwise wonderful purse.
