Early 1900's Table Lamp with Milk Glass Shade

A lovely lamp that will look beautiful in any room. This is a glass kerosene lamp with Aladdin-style brass fittings, and a large beautiful melon shade with a ruffled top.

The base is 11" high, and the assembled lamp is 20" high. The milk glass shade is 6 1/2" high, 10" across, with a 5 1/2" opening at the top and a 9 3/4" opening at the bottom. The shade has a scratch, about 1 1/4" long, as shown in the photos.

This lamp has been electrified, and from the style of the cord, I would guess this was done in the 1950's. It is functional, and gives off a soft glow through the opalescent white shade. I always recommend rewiring by a professional if you intend to use it.
